The Roxbury-Bridgewater Garden Club is very active in our communities, providing programs in the schools and the senior centers. We give annual scholarships and provide community education on a variety of conservation and gardening topics through our lectures and Plant Mart education table. At the holiday season we decorate each town’s public buildings with wreaths.
We host lectures and workshops to further our understanding of our gardens and the natural world.
Our club maintains the gardens and planters on the Bridgewater Green, the Diebold Garden in Roxbury, the Friendship Garden near Burnham School, the Weller’s Bridge Garden, the Mead’s Corner Garden, the Roxbury Town Hall and Pavilion, both town’s Veteran’s Memorial plantings, the flag pole plantings at the Bridgewater fire house, the Hut Hill Garden and the garden at the corner of Route 67 and 317. Our volunteers are constantly working in these gardens planning, planting, weeding and pruning.
